'Dr Romantic 3' Episode 9: Ahn Hyo Seop Puts Life at Risk for Survivors
Another week means another round of intense drama with the Doldam Hospital family. Headlined by Han Suk Kyu, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Lee Sung Kyung, "Dr. Romantic 3" Episode 9 showcased another challenging situation for Doldam and Trauma Center staff.
Helmed by Yoo In Shik, the series tells the story of a legendary doctor named Kim Sa Bu, portrayed by Han Suk Kyu. Despite being a renowed surgeon in the city, he chose to work in a shabby countryside hospital called Doldam.
The third installment focuses on his lifelong dream of building a trauma center, but he encounters a difficult situation after his nemesis, Cha Jin Man, becomes the head of the newly constructed hospital.
'Dr. Romantic 3' Episode 9 Viewership
After experiencing fluctuating ratings in the first half of the season, the SBS medical K-drama lands an impressive rating for the show's second half.
In a report, Neilsen Korea recorded an average nationwide rating of 13.4 percent for "Dr. Romantic 3" Episode 9. It is a slight increase from its eighth episode and the most-watched Friday program.

The SBS medical K-drama left viewers hooked as it featured heart pounding scenes featuring the staff of Doldam.
"Dr. Romantic 3" Episode 9 began, showing a condemned building that houses an academy for students and some businesses on the first floor. Little did they know that a disastrous tragedy was about to happen.
On the other hand, Seo Woo Jin and Cha Eun Jae are all dressed up to meet Eun Jae's father, Cha Jin Min. This will be Seo Woo Jin's first time meeting his girlfriend's parents outside the hospital.
As soon as they arrived at the restaurant, they were welcomed by Eun Jae's mother, who revealed that she was forced by Jin Man to treat the couple to a nice meal and get to know Eun Jae's boyfriend.
Right before they started, Cha Eun Jae and Seo Woo Jin received an emergency message from Doldam.
All staff and doctors were advised to report to the hospital and the location of the accident since there were a lot of victims in the collapsed building. Cha Eun Jae and Seo Woo Jin arrived first in the vicinity and tried to help as many patients as they could.
At this point, the main priority was for those who were severely ill, not to revive the deceased.
One of the highlights of "Dr. Romantic 3" Episode 9 was Seo Woo Jin's decision to get inside the collapsed building to save more survivors. However, they found out that a teacher, who tried to save his students, got severely hurt.
Kim Sa Bu was furious after hearing Seo Woo Jin and Park Eun Tak's state. He reiterated that the main priority at this point was the well-being of the rescuers and their ability to save more patients.
But Seo Woo Jin insisted on treating the gravely ill patient and getting the kids out of the dangerous area. Just as they were about to leave, the building collapsed again.
At this point, Kim Sa Bu looked startled and nervous for his staff's safety.
