Bloodhounds Season 2

Netflix delivered another hit K-drama with "Bloodhounds," starring Woo Do Hwan and Lee Sang Yi.

Based on the webtoon of the same name, the 8-episode series depicts the story of two amateur boxers who got winded up in an organization headed by a merciless loan shark. Thankfully, Kim Gun Woo (Woo Do Hwan) and Hong Woo Jin (Lee Sang Yi) unexpectedly met a former gang boss, President Choi Tae Ho (Heo Joon Ho), who helped them with their financial struggle.

Unfortunately, the duo faced a much bigger problem after they learned who the villain, Kim Myung Gil (Park Sung Woong), is.

After "Bloodhounds" premiered on June 9, the K-drama continues to receive good reviews, not to mention entering Netflix's top 10 TV shows.

Will There Be 'Bloodhounds' Season 2?

Although the 8-episode series continues to receive positive feedback from the media and viewers, it is still too early to tell if Netflix will give "Bloodhounds" the green light to release a second season.

In addition, the series ended on a clean slate, leaving viewers with no cliffhangers.

However, most of the hit series like "Squid Games," "All of Us Are Dead," "Pachinko," and more returned with sequels, so there's still a chance that "Bloodhounds" will have a sequel.

What Will Be the Focus of 'Bloodhounds' Season 2?

If given a chance that "Bloodhounds" will be among the 2023 K-dramas returning with a sequel, Kim Gun Woo and Hong Woo Jin might experience another death-defying situation and encounter a different crisis.

"Bloodhounds" season 2 might also feature the whereabouts of Kim Hyun Joo, who disappeared in the middle of the season after someone so dear to her died.

To recall, Kim Sae Ron's appearance in the Netflix series was trimmed due to the her DUI controversy in 2022.

As mentioned by "Bloodhounds" director Jason Kim, he chose to retain Kim Sae Ron amid the controversy since changing the plot or removing her from the story would affect the whole series.
