Lee Joon Hyuk unexpectedly gained the attention of netizens after updating his Instagram.

The actor is booked and busy on and off screen with his various activities, from his new movie "The Roundup: No Way Out" to his hit children's book. Besides being active in show business, the South Korean star is also dedicated doing various charitable activities.

Amid the promotional activities for his movie with Ma Dong Seok, Lee Joon Hyuk has participated as the original author of the book "Hello Popcorn."

To celebrate the milestone, the award-winning actor posted a photo on his SNS with a caption containing surprising news.

On Lee Joon Hyuk's Instagram, he wrote, "Bought a recommended book from the National Children's and Youth Library. 'Hello Popcorn' has been selected. Thank you."

However, what caught the attention of his followers was the photo used in the recent post. As seen on Lee Joon Hyuk's Instagram, the actor uploaded a photo featuring his villain character in "The Roundup: No Way Out."

In the comments section, netizens pointed out that the image doesn't suit the caption. Others also joked about Joo Sung Cheol, whose character in the movie seemed to be celebrating Lee Joon Hyuk's achievement.

According to reports, "Hello Popcorn," which was released on December 2022, contains personal experience of the actor with his dog as it depicts the story and adventures of a happy animal named Popcorn.

With "Hello Popcorn" impressing many pet owners, the children's book became a hot topic, ranking first in the best-seller list.

Just this month, a report cited that Lee Joon Hyuk has donated all royalties for the book "Hello Popcorn" to an animal welfare organization called the Beagle Rescue Network, which strives to rescue lab animals and reduce animal testing.

Lee Joon Hyuk's Villain Role in 'The Roundup: No Way Out'

As Lee Joon Hyuk made a comeback to the big screen, the actor surprised viewers with his huge transformation as the movie's villain.

As mentioned by a news portal, the actor purposely gained weight to match the protagonist, Ma Dong Seok, who reprised his role as the legendary detective Ma Suk Do.

With this, Lee Joon Hyuk gained around 20kg; hence, he looked different in "The Roundup: No Way Out."

During his interview with Hwang Kwang Hee's YouTube channel, the actor said that playing the role of Joo Sung Chul "was quite different" from what he did in the past.

He described the villain as "smart, violent, and lethal," adding, "My character is a villain who confronts Ma Seok Do's charisma with natural confidence."

However, Lee Joon Hyuk says that he is "overpowered" by Ma Dong Seok, a.k.a. Don Lee, in real life because of his huge physique.
