The much-anticipated "Squid Game" Season 2 finally revealed the new addition to the cast lineup. From Im Siwan to Park Sung Hoon, here are the actors joining the sequel! 

Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, More Confirmed to Star in 'Squid Game' Season 2

Two years after "Squid Game" Season 1 made history in and outside South Korea, the highly-anticipated sequel is set to make its debut soon. Giving viewers a sneak peek at what to anticipate in book 2, Netflix officially introduced the star-studded lineup for "Squid Game" Season 2.

On June 18, the famous online streaming giant dropped a teaser, hinting at the sequel being packed with interesting and intriguing events.

Netflix confirmed that original cast members Lee Jung Jae, Wi Ha Joon, Lee Byung Hun, and Gong Yoo are returning for "Squid Game 2."

In addition, brilliant stars Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon, and Yang Dong Geun are joining forces to appear as new players in the upcoming season.

'Squid Game' Season 2 to Begin Filming in July, Reportedly to Air in 2024

To recall, last June 15, Im Siwan created a buzz after reports claimed that he will lead Season 2 of the Netflix original series. However, Netflix Korea and the actor's agency humbly refused to confirm the news and ask for everyone's understanding.

Later on, through the teaser, Netflix announced Im Siwan's participation in the series.

It has been said that the production cost for "Squid Game" Season 2 is 100 billion KRW (estimated 78 million USD). After wrapping up the casting, the production is reportedly to start filming in July and aims to release the sequel in 2024.

"Squid Game" features a mysterious survival game with a reward of 45.6 billion won on the line. Childhood friends Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae) and Cho Sang Woo (Park Hae Soo) end up joining the deadly game, only to find out that there is more at stake than just the money prize.

Meanwhile, viewers are also curious who among the female stars will join the cast.

Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon, and Yang Dong Geun are known for their outstanding performances in their projects "Unlocked," "Insider," "The Glory," and "Connect," respectively.
