Park Gyu Young shared her thoughts about her rumored appearance in "Squid Game" season 2.

During the "Celebrity" press conference, where the actress plays as one of the lead stars, she graced the event along with co-stars Kang Min Hyuk, Lee Chung Ah, Jeon Hyo Sung, and the returning Lee Dong Gun.

Park Gyu Young talked about her experience filming the upcoming series, as well as her rumored casting for the much-awaited sequel for "Squid Game."

Did Park Gyu Young Hint at Rumored 'Squid Game' Season 2 Casting?

As obtained by a media outlet, the actress was asked about her opinion about the circulating news regarding the "Squid Game" season 2 casting.

She didn't directly address the speculations, but expressed her hope that viewers would also pay attention to her upcoming K-drama "Celebrity."

To recall, Park Gyu Young was reportedly selected to join the sequel as one of the lead stars in the forthcoming Netflix series.

Another rumored actress to join the "Squid Game" season 2 cast is the former IZ*ONE member Jo Yu Ri and the "Next Sohee" actress Kim Si Eun.

However, despite the speculations of the media, Netflix has yet to announce whether these three stars will be the official cast members of the hit K-drama.

The casting rumors came after Netflix was criticized for casting only established male actors for "Squid Game" season 2.

On June 18, the streaming giant dropped the cast lineup, which includes original cast members Lee Jung Jae, Lee Byung Hun, Wi Ha Joon, and Gong Yoo. In addition, new cast members include Im Siwan, Kang Ha Neul, Park Sung Hoon, and Yang Dong Geun.

Because of this, the announcement gained mixed reactions from the public, and was questioned regarding the lack of rookies and actresses.

Park Gyu Young Plays Hotshot Influencer in 'Celebrity'

Besides the upcoming "Squid Game" season 2, Park Gyu Young will make her small screen comeback through the soon-to-be released series. She will transform into a famous influencer named Seo Ah Ri in the mystery-thriller series "Celebrity."

Set to be released on June 30, it depicts the story of the reality behind the glamorous life of a social media influencer who experienced an unexpected whirlwind of events.

During the press conference, the actress confessed that she had some worries about joining the series. For Park Gyu Young, she felt nervous to be working alongside the director and seniors, whom she "really respects."

Thankfully, she was able to get through it by "working hard" and "receiving a lot of help from director Kim, co-stars, and the staff.

"I have anticipation that I will show you a good image," she added.

As mentioned earlier, she is joined by CNBLUE's Kang Min Hyuk, Jun Hyo Sung, Lee Chung Ah, and Lee Dong Gun, who returned after his long hiatus.
