'Heartbeat' Episode 3: Seon Woo Yeol Saves Joo In Hae From Her Landlord
In "Heartbeat" Episode 3, Seon Woo Yeol began to feel strange pain after Joo In Hae bit him in the neck, every time it hurts, it signals that Hae In is in danger. He immediately looked for her and saved her from the fraudster Mr. Park (Kim Hyun Joon). She was amazed to see Woo Yeol's superpower.
Joo In Hae went to the police station, while Woo Yeol, who picked up her wallet used her credit card and exceeded the limit purchase, making her extremely angry. She threatened to sell the mansion if he failed to pay back.
Meanwhile, Seon Woo Yeol met his friends Lee Sang Hae (Yoon Byung Hee) and Park Dong Seop (Go Kyu Pil) for the first time since he woke up. He confessed that he had not become a human as he woke up one day before the 100 years. They exchanged stories, and the duo told Woo Yeol that vampires also need to make money on Earth.

Following their advice, he searched for work where he could earn money to pay his debt. He went to an employment agency with Sang Hae and experienced various jobs, but it was not easy to live as a vampire in modern society.
Shin Do Sik Crosses Path With Joo In Hae
Elsewhere, Joo In Hae met Shin Do Sik (Park Kang Hyun), who surprised visit her old house as she packed all her things. He assisted her and was surprised by the mansion. Just before they parted ways, Seon Woo Yeol arrived and nonchalantly, called the house theirs, making it awkward for the three of them.
After Do Sik left, Joo In Hae realized that Woo Yeol didn't get the full money for the coat and that she asked him to return it. She then asked him to write an IOU to make sure he'll pay her back in six months or else she will sell the house. He was annoyed and left fuming at her threat, but doesn't have much to do anyway.
Seon Woo Yeol Goes Job Hunting With Lee Sang Hee
The next day, Seon Woo Yeol went to Sang Hae and got his ID card hoping to find a job. They got hired and ended up working at a funeral home. After getting exhausted, he took a nap inside a coffin and was promptly thrown out of the job.
Back at home, Seon Woo Yeol assisted Joo In Hae in cleaning the house. In the course of transforming the mansion to its former glory, the duo also find themselves drawn to each other, and unexpectedly open up saying he is waiting for someone to return.
Joo In Hae Surprised by Seon Woo Yeol's Kiss
Seon Woo Yeol then realized that Joo In Hae is similar to Yoon Hae Sun (Yoon So Hee). In the midst of this, his neck starts to hurt again, and quickly runs downstairs to find a chandelier about to fall right on Joo In Hae. He flew and pulled her away from the shattering glass and he looked at her scared face and kissed her, taking Joo In Hae by surprise.
