PD Kim Jae Won Shares His Casting Process for '19/20' Panelists

On July 6, the hosts and creatives of the newest Netflix dating show "19/20" also known as "Nineteen to Twenty" attended the production presentation in CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Seoul.

Present at the gathering were Kim Ji Eun, Super Junior's Kyuhyun, AKMU's Lee Su Hyun, singer Jeong Sewoon, PD Kim Jae Won, PD Park Soo Ji, and PD Kim Jung Hyun.

"19/20" is a love reality program that captures the special moments of growth for the youthful Generation Z, who are still inexperienced in dating.

As the event started, PD Kim Jae Won shared what made him decide to cast the panelists. According to him, Kyuhyun can host and empathize through his experience with the previous Netflix Korean dating show "Single's Inferno," that's why he invited him.

Kim Ji Eun's Resemblance to ITZY's Ryujin Becomes Big Factor in Joining the Dating Show

Meanwhile, for Kim Ji Eun, PD Kim said, "She became the host of the music show, 'Inkigayo,' which our cast members would enjoy, so it seemed like everyone would like her. She is also an excellent MC and gained attention for her strong resemblance with ITZY's Ryujin, so I thought she would fit well with '19/20.'"

In response to what PD Kim said, Kim Ji Eun shared that it was an honor to be part of the team. She has been wanting to join as an MC panelist for a reality show, and she's thankful that it was offered to her.

The actress continued, "Despite being a dating show, it was different from the existing theme. I was thrilled to be able to see the finished product faster than anyone else. It was an experience to brag about and I really enjoyed it."

Furthermore, "19/10" is already attracting attention as it will showcase the fresh and lively appearance of young adults. In the program, the cast members will spend their last week as teenagers learning things they should know before turning adults at the "19 School," and then spend their first week of their twenties, learning about freedom, responsibility, and creating memories together at the "20 House."

"19/20" will air beginning July 11 on Netflix and will be available in more than 190 countries.
