Lee Byung Hun Acquired Multi-Billion Won Building in Seoul

According to a local media outlet, Hankyung.com reported that the award-winning actor has acquired a multi-billion building through a corporation called Project B.

Lee Byung Hun's Project B bought a building in Seoul, particularly near Oksu Station in Oksu-dong, Seongdong-gu.

The purchase was made in August 2022 for a whopping 23.99 billion won.

Moreover, the newly acquired property has a site area of 732 square meters and a total floor area of 2494.76 square meters.

As a whole, the building boasts two basement floors and six floors above ground.

Interestingly, the report also states that the award-winning top star earns millions from the rental fee.

As an in-house director for Project B, Lee Byung Hun rakes 85 million won as a monthly rental fee alone.

On the other hand, Project B was a corporation reportedly funded by his mother. It is a real estate leasing and advisory corporation, where the actor owns 100 percent of the company's shares.

Since 2021, the top star has been venturing into real estate and reportedly sold a building in the same year, making a profit of 10 billion KRW.

Since his K-drama comeback through Netflix's "Squid Game," Lee Byung Hun has been booked and busy with left and right projects. May it be a movie or K-drama.

Among his upcoming projects is the soon-to-be released movie "Concrete Utopia." Scheduled to hit the big screen on August 9, the disaster flick stars the award-winning actor as Young Tak, a resident who acts as the leader in Hwang Goong Apartment, the last standing building after a massive earthquake hit Seoul.

His responsibility is to make sure that his fellow neighbors and survivors are safe and away from outsiders.

Lee Byung Hun also stars alongside Park Seo Joon and Park Bo Young as a married couple who are residents of Hwang Goong Apartment.

Meanwhile, adding to the list of his forthcoming projects is the highly anticipated K-drama sequel "Squid Game" season 2.

Reprising as the mysterious Frontman, the sequel focuses more of his life, along with a mix of new and original cast members.

As of this writing, there's no confirmation regarding the "Squid Game" season 2 release date, but rumor has it that it will premiere in 2024.
