Kim Do Yeon To Finally Make Silver Screen Debut

On August 10, media outlets reported that the singer-actress Kim Do Yeon is finally debuting in the big screen with a refreshing teen film.

To recall, Kim Do Yeon first made her public appearance as a Produce 101 Season 1 contestant who made it to the final lineup of I.O.I. She also debuted in the group Weki Meki.

In 2018, she made her television debut in the drama "Short" opposite Kang Tae Oh. She has appeared in five works including "My Roommate Is A Gumiho," "One the Woman," "Jirisan" and more.

Kim Do Yeon is finally making her silver screen debut after five long years. She was cast to headline the upcoming film "Eighteen Youth" with Jeon So Min.

She joins Jeon So Min in the upcoming film "Eighteen Youth" which follows the fateful meeting of a high school teacher and a rebellious teen student, and their flourishing relationship as they get to know each other better.

Kim Do Yeon transforms into Soon Jung, an 18-year-old high school student who finds Jeon So Min's Hee Joo annoying due to her unconventional way of teaching.

Through "Eighteen Youth," Kim Do Yeon will be able to showcase her more serious and emotive acting by giving life to Soon Jung.

The production unit of the new movie revealed that "Eighteen Youth" began filming on August 5 at a school in Seoul. It is aimed to be released in the first half of 2024 so stay tuned for more updates.
