‘My Dearest’ Episode 7 Lands Double Digit Rating + Ahn Eun Jin Reunites With Namgong Min

Viewers continue to get hooked on every scene in "My Dearest," episode 7, as Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin's drama soars to an all-time high rating.

The historical K-drama depicts the story of a mysterious man who doesn't believe in marriage or love until he meets the fearless noble woman who captures his heart.

Besides Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin, the "My Dearest" cast also includes Lee Da In, Lee Hak Joo, and Kim Yoon Woo as lead stars.

'My Dearest' Episode 7 Viewership

With only a week left before the finale, the historical K-drama scores its first double-digit rating.

In a report, Nielsen Korea recorded an average nationwide rating of 10.6 percent. It is a significant increase from their previous epospode with only 8.8 percent.

Amid the show's success, "My Dearest" episode 7 also took first place in its time slot across all channels.

Meanwhile, viewers get to watch episode 8 on August 26 at 9:50 p.m. KST via MBC and through Kocowa and Viki for global viewers.

'My Dearest' Episode 7 Recap

One of the highlights in "My Dearest," episode 7, is the war between two kingdoms.

The Crown Prince urged his father, the King, to leave the fortress to help his fellowmen survive the war. It was after his wife and his baby were almost killed by the intruders who invaded Gwanghwa Island.

Although His Majesty disliked the idea of leaving the fortress, which he thinks is a form of surrendering, he did it for his family and the survivors.

Thankfully, the war ended, and it was time for the remaining locals to return to their town.

As for Yoo Gil Chae, she was able to reunite with her sister but was surprised that his father seemed to have developed trauma due to the incidents he witnessed during the war.

Unfortunately for Kyung Eun Ae, she learned that her father died in the hands of intruders.

In the last scenes of "My Dearest" episode 7, it featured the unexpected reunion of Lee Jang Hyuk and Gil Chae.

After surviving the battle in the forest, Jang Hyuk returned to the town to find Gil Chae.

Initially, she was furious at Jang Hyuk for telling her to go to Gwanghwan Island because it was a safe place for them; however, Lee Jang Hyuk explained that he would have followed her there to save her.

At the rice fields, he confronted Gil Chae and told her that although he knew that it will be Nam Yeon Jun who would always be in her heart, he hoped that Yoo Gil Chae would never forget him.
