Jo Byung Gyu's recent transformation in the brand new episodes of "The Uncanny Counter 2" elicited mixed reactions from the viewers, especially its avid fans from Season 1.

The South Korean actor has led the fantasy-comedy series since its initial release, and has already created a solid fan base with his top-notch acting.

Jo Byung Gyu Surprises Viewers With New Look

In the newly released episodes of "The Uncanny Counter 2," Jo Byung Gyu made every viewer's jaw drop in surprise with his new look.

The actor had a 360 transformation in the series as his character, So Mun, appeared with long straight hair which is certainly a drastic change in his appearance.

In the series, he stars as a Counter, a paranormal-hunter, who is known for having magically curly hair as it is believed that their powers make their hair appear "alive," trapping their energy until its tip.

Since Season 1, Jo Byung Gyu has been seen with short curls that added quirks to his overall look.

Because he temporarily lost his powers and memories after being in a coma, he returns to being a regular human which makes his hair straight, devoid of its bounciness that it covers his eyes completely.

This sent viewers into a fit of laughter while some loved the "silliness" in Jo Byung Gyu's appearance. Meanwhile, other viewers didn't like nor hate it.

"It looks kind of weird to see him with straight hair after having curly hair for two seasons," one fan stated.

Thankfully, the hairstyle is short-lived as Jo Byung Gyu's So Mun returns to being a Counter, regaining back his hair's natural bounciness and signature style.

What To Expect From 'The Uncanny Counter 2' Final Week

The long wait is over as Jo Byung Gyu's fantasy action series "The Uncanny Counter 2" is finally coming to an end.

After five long weeks, the drama is now left with only two episodes which are expected to neatly tie all loose ends in the previous episodes.

From the gravity-defying scenes and subtle romance elements, "The Uncanny Counter 2" has proven that it offered an interesting episode each release.

In the finale, fans are guaranteed to see how the demon-hunters put an end to the evil plans of Kang Ki Young's Hwang Pil Gwang.

A happy and satisfying ending is also expected for the Counters who work hard at the noodle shop during the day and as paranormal experts at night.
