'Mask Girl' Director Shares Secrets About Han Jae Yi's Role

A week after the premiere of "Mask Girl," Netflix Korea uploaded a commentary video with Kim Yong Hoon, the renowned director of the show.

He expressed his eternal gratitude to viewers who supported the show. In addition to that, the director also shared some exclusive trivias about the series and the actors.

Through the work, rising actress Han Jae Yi also rose to the limelight with her performance as Nana's Kim Mo Mi's best friend Kim Chun Ae which certainly appealed to the audiences.

The scene where Kim Chun Ae and Kim Mo Mi deliberately killed Lee Jun Young's Choi Bu Young with intense anger shook the entire Hallyu industry. One fan praised the cast, saying, "This is cinema."

To give back to the fans, Kim Yong Hoon revealed his initial plans for the work. According to him, he originally planned to kill Kim Chun Ae through Kim Mo Mi.

 

Thankfully, things have changed. As he built the story, making the two beautiful characters look identical in terms of appearance and backstories seemed intriguing enough.

"When you meet someone who is so similar to you, you can empathize with them," he stated. "You will feel very protective of them."
