‘Moving’ Writer Kang Full Says Upcoming Episodes Will Showcase More of Cha Tae Hyun’s Character

The "Moving" craze continues as viewers get to know more about the characters in the second half of the season. Interestingly, writer Kang Full teased fans on what to expect in upcoming episodes, especially with Cha Tae Hyun's character.

According to the writer, who is also the creator of the original webtoon, Jeon Gye Do, a.k.a. the Lightning Man, will make more appearances in the upcoming episodes. 

Cha Tae Hyun to Appear in Suceeding Episodes of 'Moving'

In an interview obtained by a local media outlet, Kang Full said that Cha Tae Hyun's appearance doesn't stop in the first 7 episodes of the series. 

"Jeon Gye-do's story has not ended," the writer said, adding that it will "continue to appear" in the succeeding episodes of the K-drama.

With this, viewers can expect more of Cha Tae Hyun's portrayal as Lightning Man in the second half of the season, gaining more attention from viewers. 

To recall, the first part of "Moving" showcased his story growing up with superhuman powers.

In the story, it depicts the character's awkward interaction with people, mainly because of his extraordinary ability. 

Although he managed to be successful, through his alter ego, the Lightning Man, his powers hindered him from sustaining the momentum.

Viewers last saw Jeon Gye Do's character after his father's tragic death. In one episode, Gye Do disappeared after his intense face-off with Frank, the antagonist. He is the Korean American sent by the CIS to eliminate individuals with extraordinary abilities.

At the time, viewers were wondering if that was the end of Jeon Gye Do and if he was "leaving in vain without doing anything special.

Although "Moving" is one of Kang Full's hit webtoons, he previously revealed that he added two new characters for the K-drama adaptation. 

The villain, Frank, played by Ryu Seung Beom and Jeon Gye Don, was created for the 20-episode series.

According to the writer, he wanted Cha Tae Hyun's character to be the bridge between the parents, referring to Jo In Sung, Han Hyo Joo, and Ryu Seung Ryong's characters and their children, Lee Jung Ha, Go Yoon Jung, and Kim Do Hoon.

"I created this character while thinking about what would happen if the teenage children in 'Moving' grew up. The person who stands between the children and the parents' generation is Jeon Gye Do," the writer explained. 

Interestingly, Kang Full also mentioned that it is one of his favorite characters in "Moving, showing his affection for Jeon Gye Do. He said the role depicts the story of people in the present time. 

"Moving" episodes 14 and 15 are scheduled to simultaneously air on September 6 via Disney+ and Hulu.
