Director Reveals Reason for Casting Ahn Hyo Seop in Netflix’s ‘A Time Called You’
Kim Jin Won, director of the Korean adaptation of "A Time Called You," shared the reason for choosing Ahn Hyo Seop as a key member of the Netflix series.

The lead cast members and the director of the much-anticipated romance drama "A Time Called You" made their first public appearance during its media press conference on September 4.
Ahead of the release, Jeon Yeo Bin, Ahn Hyo Seop, and Kang Hoon gave hints and behind-the-scenes stories of their journey working together for the first time on a project.
"A Time Called You" is the Korean remake of the famous Taiwanese series "Some Day or One Day." It revolves around Han Joon Hee, who loses her boyfriend in a sudden accident. The story will travel back to 1998, where she meets Nam Si Heon, a man who has a striking resemblance to her late partner, and his friend Jung In Gyu.
What Made the Lead Stars Join in the Korean Remake?
At the production event, Ahn Hyo Seop shared for the first time what made him join in the project.
According to him, he read the script without knowing it was a remake.
When he was reading it, the actor instantly got goosebumps, and couldn't meet the director after finishing the script.
His first-time screen partner, Jeon Yeo Bin, added that she enjoyed watching the original version, which gave her the eagerness to take part in the adaptation.
Fortunately, she was offered the role and accepted it without second thoughts.

Kang Hoon, on the other hand, expressed that he was captivated by the character while reading the script. When he finally met Kim Jin Won, the director of the series, he confidently proved that he could pull the role of Jung In Gyu off.
Director Kim Jin Won Finds Ahn Hyo Seop's Versatility Amusing
After the lead stars shared their thoughts, the brilliant behind the drama, Kim Jin Won revealed the reasons for selecting Ahn Hyo Seop as the main protagonist in his work.
"He is an actor with a wide range of skills, when it comes to acting. He is also capable of playing both light-hearted and serious characters."
Kim Jin Won elaborated how Ahn Hyo Seop successfully portrayed various roles from a doctor to a company CEO. He also shared his first meeting with the "Business Proposal" actor.
"When I first met him, he came dressed very casually and displayed his playful side. At that time, he still exudes a boyish charm."
PD'nim then praised the singer-actor that he can fully immerse himself in the character while grasping the entire context of the drama.
"A Time Called You" will finally hit the small screen this September 8 on Netflix.
