K-drama lineup for October 2023 will surely bring excitement to fans, as broadcast networks and the OTT platform will showcase a variety of diverse and thrilling series. From sequels to spin-offs, webtoon-based series, and more, there's so much to look forward to in October 2023.

In addition, there's also a lead stars who are set to make a comeback to the small screen with an interesting character. After the hit K-drama "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," Park Eun Bin returns as a castaway in an upcoming series. As for Rowoon, he is returning to historical series for a rom-com K-drama with Cho Yi Hyun.

With that said, here is the list of new K-dramas that you shouldn't miss out on as they air in October 2023.

'Castaway Diva'

Airing Date: October 28

The long wait is finally over for fans as Park Eun Bin takes on the role of In Seo Mok Ha, who got rescued from an island after 15 years of getting stuck.

The rom-com K-drama is directed by the creators of "While You Were Sleeping" and "Start-Up," director Oh Choong Hwan and screenwriter Park Hye Ryun.

Joining Park Eun Bin are Chae Jong Hyeop, VIXX's Cha Hak Yeon, Kim Hyo Jin, and Kim Joo Heon.

"Castaway Diva" is set to air on Netflix, TVing, and tvN. 

'Strong Girl Namsoon'

Airing Date: October 7

One of the highly anticipated spin-offs in 2023 is "Strong Girl Namsoon," which was based on Park Bo Young and Park Hyung Sik's "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon."

The upcoming series depicts the story of three generations of women with superhuman strength.

Lee Yoo Mi stars as Kang Nam Soon, who happens to be Do Bong Soon's second cousin. Along with her is her mother, Hwang Geum Joo, a money tycoon in Gangnam, played by the returning Kim Jung Eun. Last but not least is their neighborhood's living legend and Kang Nam Soon's maternal grandmother, Gil Joong Gan, played by Kim Hae Sook.

Adding to the list of cast members is Ong Seung Wu, who takes on the role of the youngest police officer named Kang Hee Shik, while Byeon Woo Seok plays the viscous villain Ryu Shi Oh.

Scheduled to premiere on October 7, viewers will get to watch "Strong Girl Namsoon" via JTBC, TVN, TVING, and Netflix. 

'Doona'

Airing Date: October 20

Another top star who is making a small screen comeback is Bae Suzy for the webtoon-based K-drama "Doona."

Based on the webtoon "The Girl Downstairs," it focuses on the life of former celebrity Lee Doona, played by Bae Suzy, who meets and becomes unexpectedly close to a university student named Lee Won Joon, portrayed by Yang Se Jong.

"Doona" is slated to air on October 20 and will be broadcast exclusively via Netflix.

'The Matchmakers'

Airing Date: October 30

Rowoon will star in the rom-com historical K-drama "The Matchmakers" along with "All of Us Are Dead" star Cho Yi Hyun.

Taking on the role of young widower Shim Jung Woo, he unexpectedly meets widow Jung Soon Deok (Cho Yi Hyun), who is also experiencing the same struggles as him.

"The Matchmakers" will air on October 30 and can be streamed through Viki and broadcast over KBS.
