Since his debut as an actor, Rowoon has starred in countless romance dramas, showing his range from modern works and even sageuk series.

With this, the idol-actor earned the title "Historical K-drama Prince" for his outstanding performance in "The King's Affection."

This fall, he's set to make his television comeback with another period drama "The Matchmakers" opposite Cho Yi Hyun where he transforms into a wedding planner.

Rowoon To Lead New Rom-Com Drama 'The Matchmakers'

In September, broadcast network KBS2 announced that Rowoon will pair with Cho Yi Hyun to headline the upcoming romance drama "The Matchmakers."

It marks the idol-actor's third comeback this year, and it depicts the war of nerves between a widow and a widower whose job is to marry off young maidens of the Joseon dynasty.

Rowoon transforms into Shim Jung Woo, a handsome widower who works as a wedding organizer whose own marriage fell apart after his bride died in the ceremony.

He is a self-proclaimed "best matchmaker" and the rival of Cho Yi Hyun's Jung Soon Deok, a noblewoman who also works as a Joseon matchmaker.

Because of his misfortune, Shim Jung Woo lives a bitter, uptight outlook in life. In the newly published teasers, he is seen filing an appeal for an annulled marriage.

He dons a bright pink hanbok (Korean traditional clothing) which emphasizes his unrivaled looks. However, he appears on edge due to the dilemma he's been facing for eight long years.

Shim Jung Woo also exchanges dagger-like gazes with the office workers, raising curiosity about the reasons behind his fiery anger.

Thanks to his performance in the Emmy-awarded K-drama "The King's Affection," Rowoon managed to win the favor of the viewers from all around the world.
