In a cited report by a media outlet on October 2, Jung Hae In is considering appearing in the upcoming series "Some and Shopping" (working title).

Just after the news broke out, the actor's agency FNC Entertainment released their official statement confirming that the actor received an offer to star in the new K-drama. They added that it is one of the projects that Jung Hae In is currently reviewing.

"Some and Shopping" is a romantic-comedy series that follows the story of a cosmetics company CEO, who lives with his principles and a highly efficient popular show host fighting the battles in her life.

If Jung Hae In accepts the offer, he will take the role of Lee Hae Seok, the CEO of a natural skincare brand that the world is paying attention to. He is a character equipped with a genius mind, stubborn tenacity, and a bubbly personality to the extent that he was ranked first in his school and always voted as the school president.

Jung Hae In to Fulfill His Dream to Star in Rom-Com

Once his participation is confirmed, "Some and Shopping" will be Jung Hae In's first rom-com series in a decade since his debut in 2013. This will also be a challenge for the leading man, as it is different from his usual genres.

Most of his dramas vary from romance to melodrama and thriller. The heartthrob has starred in multiple works such as "Snowdrop," "Tune in for Love," "One Spring Night," "Something in the Rain," and "While You Were Sleeping," which focused its genre on romance and melo.

In particular, after the conclusion of his series "D.P." Season 2, the actor sat for an interview where he expressed his desire to work on a romantic-comedy.

"I have never done a rom-com before and I want to give it a try," shared by the male star.
