Park Shin Hye is set to take us back to the late '90s in her new TV role. She will play the same person at different ages. Park talked about how her acting has changed over time. "I think in my 20s, I was more focused on expressing things without having truly lived them. Now, I understand every line of dialogue as I say it. Acting feels much more comfortable." which AllKpop reported.

The press event for "Undercover Miss Hong" was on Jan. 12 at The Link Hotel in Sindorim, Seoul. Park was there with Ha Yoon Kyung, Jo Han Gyeol, and director Park Sun Ho. The source said the drama is a comedy set in 1997. It's about Hong Geum Bo, a financial supervisor who goes undercover at a securities firm to find corruption tied to a powerful family.

Park said she chose the role because she wanted something different from her past work. "After The Judge from Hell, I wanted to find a character I could express in a more fun and playful way. The premise was interesting, and the chemistry between the characters felt strong."

Despite the story's historical setting, Park expressed a sense of familiarity. "Even though I was in elementary school back then, you could feel the social atmosphere very clearly, even at school. I naturally wove in the discomfort and emotions I remember from that time." Laodong cited these remarks in its coverage of the event.

Director Park Sun Ho also commented on her dual portrayal, highlighting the contrast between the two personas. Discussing their collaboration, he said, "We talked a lot about how to express the gap between the two versions of Hong. She brought it to life beautifully, both visually and through her acting," Laodong wrote.

Park called this one of her most free-spirited roles. This is a project where I really let myself go. I used both my body and my heart without holding back. " She added that with age and life experience, she now has "so many more ways to express myself now, which makes acting more comfortable."
