Netflix’s ‘Doona’ Unfolds Heart-Fluttering Romance Between Bae Suzy, Yang Se Jong

Netflix Releases More Trailers of Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong in 'Doona'

In the latest trailer," Doona" introduced the characters of Lee Doona, a former K-pop idol and main vocalist of the group who chose to veer away from the spotlight due to an unknown reason.

As she lives a normal life, Doona meets a college student named Lee Won Jon, played by Yang Se Jong.

Initially, he didn't want to engage himself with the former celebrity but didn't realize that he got more curious to know Doona.

As seen in the trailer, Doona clearified that she will not fall in love with Won Jun, the same goes for the college student who thinks that it's impossible.

However, as they get to know each other, they started to see why the universe led them to each other.

"You jumped into my life, changed everything, and it's driving me crazy. Yet... I hope you never leave," the caption reads, hinting at heart-fluttering scenes of the duo's unexpected romance.

Following Netflix's update, viewers can't help but gush over Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong's undeniable chemistry as they couple up in the upcoming K-drama.

'Doona' Release Date and Cast

Helmed by "Crash Landing on You" and "Romance is a Bonus Book" director Lee Jeong Hyo, "Doona" is based on the popular webtoon "The Girl Downstairs," which focuses on the story of a former K-Pop star who now lives an ordinary life in a communal living house.

Interestingly, this is where she met the ordinary but warmhearted student Lee Won Joo.

Other than Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong, "Doona" cast also includes Park Se Wan and Lee Yoo Bi with special appearance of Lee Jin Wook and Go Ah Sung.

Interestingly, viewers will get to see the highly anticipated nine-episode romance series on October 20 exclusively on Netflix.

Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong Talk About Their Respective Characters in 'Doona'

As obtained by a news portal, Bae Suzy hints at her character; she describes her as someone who is "honest and outspoken."

However, despite this, she managed to heal her loneliness and wounds by people around her.

"She feels like a cat with sharp claws, but in reality, she is like a 'dog-like cat' who likes people," the actress added.

Meanwhile, Yang Se Jong expressed his excitement for the much-awaited premiere of "Doona."

"I felt excited and imagined, 'What would it be like if this really happened in reality?'" he said, adding that the drama will surely raise the anticipation of viewers.
