With a twist of mystery-romance, "Hong Rang" is based on a novel that narrates the story of Jae Yi, the daughter born between danju, Shim Yeol Guk and a surrogate woman, and Hong Rang, Shim Yeol Guk's son born through his real wife.

Joining her in this series are Lee Jae Wook, Kim Jae Wook, Jung Ga Ram, Park Byung Eun, Uhm Ji Won, and more.

The cast already had their first meeting as they all attended the drama's script reading where they showed fresh chemistry.

"Tangeum" will be directed by Kim Hong Seon, the creative mind behind "The Guest," "The Voice," and "Money Heis: Korea."

It has been said that the historical-romance series is scheduled to be released sometime in 2024.
