"Moving" lead star Ryu Seung Ryong once again made headlines after taking home a major award at the 2023 BIFF Content Awards & Global OTT Awards.

Following his remarkable performance in the hit Disney+ K-drama, the 52-year-old star scores a new achievement as an actor.

On October 8, the night was filled with glitz and glam as celebrities from different countries gathered to witness a spectacular event. Held at the Busan Cinema Center in Haeundae, Busan, the ceremony showcased 17 categories instead of the usual 12 like the previous years. 

"Moving" proved that they are this year's biggest series after sweeping six categories at the ceremony.

The Disney+ series bagged Best Creative, Best Visual Effects, Best Newcomer Actor and Actress by Lee Jung Ha and Go Yoon Jung, Best Writer for Kang Full, and, of course, one of the night's major awards, Best Lead Actor for Ryu Seung Ryong.

As he accepted his awards, the actor expressed his gratitude for giving him such remarkable recognition.

In a report cited by a media outlet, he began his speech by saying, "I feel like my heart will explode," adding, "Regardless of whether you received an award or not, everyone who made each other shine is beautiful and wonderful."

Sharing that one of the challenging parts of filming moving was when they shot the bloody scene in Busan, but says he was "deeply moved" and "honored to receive such a big award."

Thanking his co-stars, Kwak Sun Young, Go Yoon Jung, Kim Hee Won, and more, Ryu Seung Ryong ended his speech with a message for everyone.

"I hope that the miracle of superpowers will happen in your daily life every day."

Following the announcement of the 2023 BIFF Content Awards & Global OTT Awards winners, netizens took to social media to express happiness for the actor's achievement.

The majority of the users lauded Ryu Seung Ryong for receiving such a deserving award and said that they were not surprised that he won the Best Actor category.

Twitter was flooded with congratulatory messages for the actor for his amazing portrayal of the doting father, Jang Joo Won. On the other hand, others are hoping that he will also take home the same category at the Baeksang Arts Awards 2025.
