After five consecutive weeks, "Arthdal Chronicles 2" is finally heading into its finale with only two episodes left.

With its penultimate episodes, the drama saw a slight rise in viewership ratings, much to fans' delight. Read on to know more.

'Arthdal Chronicles 2' Sees Rise In Ratings Ahead of Finale

On October 15, tvN's period drama "Arthdal Chronicles 2" dropped its antepenultimate episode to fans' satisfaction.

Episode 10 scored an average rating of 4.3%, which marks the drama's third highest rating yet. It's also 1.2% higher than the previous episode.

For two weeks, "Arthdal Chronicles 2" had been stagnant in terms of scores after the scheduling changes to give way for the Asian Games and the Chuseok (mid-autumn) holiday.

While it greatly affected the show's scores and momentum, the drama quickly got back on its feet with the latest episodes which received impressive scores and feedback from the public.

As it heads into its finale, it's expected to maintain its pace and receive reasonable scores at the end of the broadcast.

On the other hand, "Arhtdal Chronicles 2" stars Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung and it follows the power struggles and redemption of tribes in a mythical land called Arthdal.

Lee Joon Gi Dubbed As Historical Romance King

With "Arthdal Chronicles 2" added to his plethora of successful period dramas, there's no doubt that Lee Joon Gi is today's historical romance king.

Since his debut in 2005, Lee Joon Gi has appeared in various acclaimed works like "The King and The Clown," "Scholar Who Walks the Night" and more.

Lee Joon Gi's most notable work is "Scarlet Heart Ryeo," which cemented his name in the industry as one of the most successful and sought-after actors in his generation.

While he also appears in modernized K-dramas, almost 80% of his work is fantasy with a hint of sageuk, matching the title given to him.

"I love the intricate details and preparations that are put into a sageuk work," Lee Joon Gi told Allure Korea. "That's why I gravitate naturally towards them."
