Despite having a decent script and intriguing premise, Kim Young Dae's new romance drama "Moon In The Day" failed to attract the audiences within its first two weeks.

Kim Young Dae Criticized For Acting Performance

Despite possessing a handsome and gallant appearance, Kim Young Dae failed to entice the public to tune in to his new romance drama due to his poor acting.

The actor, opposite Pyo Ye Jin, recently made their debut with "Moon In The Day," a time-slip romance drama about a man who's killed by his lover in the past and a woman who's lived through reincarnation without remembering her past lives.

Even with a fairly written script and riveting script, "Moon In The Day" couldn't capture the viewers' attention. Within two weeks of broadcast, the series recorded a humble score of 1.65%.

According to viewers and critics, the largest issue in the work is the male lead's performance which left them disappointed. They described Kim Young Dae's acting as "dull and boring."

Many said that the actor failed to convey his character's spirit due to his expressionless face and stiff body language, which reminded them of his past works.

Since his debut in 2019, Kim Young Dae has been under scrutiny due to his lukewarm performance. Although he has had lead roles over the years, the actor showed no improvement.

As the drama progresses, the public expect to see Kim Young Dae overcome his poor work and pull off his new acting role better in order to keep his drama from suffering from a deep crisis.

Kim Young Dae To Make Thriller Drama Debut

Earlier this month, Kim Young Dae confirmed his participation in the forthcoming thriller series "Perfect Family."

He will play Park Kyung Ho, a conglomerate heir who gets entangled in a heinous murder of a woman, and becomes the one of the prime suspects in the crime.

The actor will work alongside veteran stars Kim Byung Chul, Yoon Se Ah, Lee Si Woo, Park Ju Hyun and more, raising excitement as to what kind of performance he will put on the table.

"Perfect Family" will begin filming before 2023 ends with the intention to air it in the first half of the following year. Stay tuned for more information on the drama.
