Jung Hae In Got the Cameo Role in ‘12 12: The Day’ Because of THIS K-drama

"12.12: The Day" director dished on his experience filming the movie and talked about the cast members - among them is Jung Hae In.

Headlined by top stars Hwang Jung Min and Jung Woo Sung, the film also featured an amazing supporting cast and cameo roles, including the "Snowdrop" star.

During his interview, director Kim Sung Soo, whose works include "Asura: The City of Madness" and "City of the Rising Sun," spoke about Jung Hae In's guest appearance for the movie.

Jung Hae In Scored the Cameo Role in '12.12: The Day' Because of Netflix's 'D.P.'

According to the director, he offered the cameo role to the actor after seeing him star in the K-drama "D.P."

Expressing how he "fell in love" with his acting, director Kim Sung Soo said that after seeing the Netflix series, he knew that Jung Hae In would definitely fit the role in "12.12: The Day." 

"I originally thought that Jung Hae In resembled the strong, pretty, and upright image of a real person," he said, adding, "I fell in love with Jung Hae In after watching 'DP'. That's why I wanted to cast him."

Moreover, the director also thanked his fellow filmmaker, Han Jung Hee, who is the director of "D.P.," for introducing him to the actor.

As for his special appearance, director Kim Sung Soo assured fans and viewers that he would portray a significant character.

"Jung Hae In's role is short, but he is a really important and symbolic character in the movie. He found a great actor who can show symbolism."

In the upcoming movie, Jung Hae In takes on the role of Oh Jin Ho, the Chief of Staff to the Special Forces Commander. According to the outlet, his character is based on real-life Major Kim Orang.

Other than Jung Hae In, "12.12: The Day" also featured Lee Joon Hyuk to play the cameo role for the character of bodyguard officer for Army Chief of Staff Jeong Sang Ho, portrayed by veteran actor Lee Sung Min.

'12.12: The Day' Release Date and Cast

Slated to hit the big screen on November 22, "12.12: The Day" is an action political drama film that depicts the Seoul military revolt that happened on December 12, 1979, which changed the fate of the Republic of Korea. I

It tells the story of the nine hours of intense conflict between Chun Doo Gwang's rebel army, played by Hwang Jung Min, and Lee Tae Shin's suppression army, portrayed by Jung Woo Sung.

Other than the two lead stars, the "12.12: The Day" cast includes powerhouse actors Lee Sung Min, Park Hae Joon, and "Moving" actor Kim Sung Kyun, who also worked with Jung Hae In in "D.P."
