'My Demon' Viewers Form Theories in Identifying Drama's True Villain

SBS' original series "My Demon" just made its long-awaited debut. As the audience are now fully immersed in the narrative, they believe that this character is the K-drama's true villain.

"My Demon," starring Kim Yoo Jung and Song Kang, features the story of a demon and a chaebol heiress entangled in a contractual marriage for the benefit of one another.

In the pilot week, the audience was introduced to Kim Seo Jin's character, who is a killer. He has already attempted to kill Do Do Hee but failed.

However, he doesn't stop and is very determined to murder the icy heiress.

In "My Demon" episode 3, Mirae's Chairwoman Ju Chun Seok (Kim Hae Sook) known as Madam Ju, viewers were intrigued and learned that there is another villain in the story.

To recall, Madam Ju's medication was switched to one that only her family members knew she was allergic to. Due to this, Do Do He is suspicious of all.

In the flashback, Madam Ju's oldest son, Noh Suk Min, and his sister, appeared guilty. They also had no interest in cooperating with Do Do Hee in investigating more and just wanted to cover up their mother's death.

But based on the viewers' judgment, they assume that a close member of the family is the culprit.

One of the family members introduced was the genius Ju Seok Hoon (Lee Sang Yi), Chairwoman Ju's nephew, who Do Do Hee described as purely a business partner. Before Madam Ju's death, she suggested he and Do Hee become a couple, but they both refused.

However, in one episode, Ju Seok Hoon expressed his admiration to Do Do Hee through his gestures, although she doesn't acknowledge it.

Based on his short interactions with the characters, it seems like he is also intended for the second lead of a love triangle.

But viewers have another speculation. A post that went viral on social media platforms, TikTok and Twitter, suggested that Ju Seok Hoon is the antagonist who betrayed Madam Ju based on his gestures toward another popular K-drama character.

In the hit drama "Vincenzo," the audience was introduced to Ok Taecyeon's character as Jang Jun Woo, a charming and naive intern at Woosang law firm, who was crushing on his senior, Hong Cha Young (Jeon Yeo Bin). However, it was revealed that he was the psychopathic villain, Jung Han Seok.

Though it is still early for the viewers to decode Ju Seok Hoon's character, they are convinced that "My Demon" is attempting to do the same plot piquing the viewers' interest.
