‘The Story of Park’s Marriage Contract’ Episode 5: Lee Se Young Finds Ways To Return To Joseon

Park Yeon Woo's Plan

Park Yeon Woo (Lee Se Young) and Kang Tae Ha (Bae In Hyuk) fall down the hill together after coming to the woods.

Sa Wol (Joo Hyun Young) begins to suspect the latter, worried over what he could have done to "her lady."

To her surprise, Park Yeon Woo shares about her discovery, saying that the Guardian Angel led her to the well where she can go to return to Joseon.

Meanwhile, Min Hye Suk (Jin Kyung) continues to undermine Kang Tae Ha. Thankfully, his grandfather arrives to defend him.

Sa Wol Convinces Park Yeon Woo

Kang Tae Ha also becomes more curious about his wife's life and background. Elsewhere, Hong Sung Pyo (Jo Bok Rae), his secretary, figures that Sa Wol is from the Joseon period, too.

He then assures Park Yeon Woo that he believes her, promising to help her get home. At the Kang's mansion, Sa Wol naughtily urges Park Yeon Woo to consummate her marriage.

Kang Tae Ha Gets Curious

Park Yeon Woo surprises Kang Tae Ha with her embroidery skills in patching up his shirt, making the news of their marriage spread in the company like wildfire.

However, Kang Tae Ha doesn't mind, shaking up Min Hye Suk's resolve. He even smiles as he wears his shirt to work, showcasing his wife's skills.

At the department store, Park Yeon Woo and Sa Wol are swarmed with reporters, snapping photos of them relentlessly.

Thankfully, Kang Tae Min (Yoo Seon Ho) arrives in disguise and saves them. Sadly, she sees Kang Tae Ha head off with another woman.

Park Yeon Woo Meets Lee Mi Dam

The girl is none other than Park Yeon Woo's mother from the Joseon era, Lee Mi Dam (Kim Yeo Jin), who runs the company that's named after herself.

When she sees the embroidery on Kang Tae Ha's shirt, Park Yeon Woo hugs her immediately, sobbing and calling her "mother."

Min Hye Suk slithers as her plan fails. The Chairman puts his foot down as Lee Mi Dam decides to team up with the Kang family.

Hong Sung Pyo hands over the trinket that belongs to Park Yeon Woo, and the flowers from the vase in their bedroom topple over.

At the end of the episode, Kang Tae Ha collapses while holding his chest, raising tension in the show.
