In addition, the brand new JTBC series marks Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik's second acting project after a decade since "The Heirs."
'Doctor Slump' Delivers Nostalgic Romance With New Poster
Ahead of its long anticipated premiere, JTBC's "Doctor Slump" hinted at the cider-like romance between Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik through its newest poster.
The series, which marks the two actors' reunion, depicts the victories and failures of two promising doctors who fell into a slump due to the difficult challenges in life.
On December 26, a new teaser was released, and it showcases the nostalgic chemistry between Nam Ha Neul and Yeo Jeong Woo, played by Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik, respectively.
Both of them grew up with unrivaled skills and intelligence. On top of that, they became South Korea's most renowned doctors. Sadly, they also fell into the worst slumps of their lives.
In the poster, they sit side by side in front of an old stationary store, enjoying their ice cream sticks. The beautiful sunlight that permeates the atmosphere gives off warmth and tranquility.
"I feel comforted knowing that I'm not alone" is a phrase written on the poster, suggesting the unspeakable challenge that Nam Ha Neul and Yeo Jeong Woo both experienced together.
With this, expectations are heightened for the return of the romantic comedy queen Park Shin Hye and experienced actor Park Hyung Sik.
Park Shin Hye & Park Hyung Sik Praised By 'Doctor Slump' Director
Besides the reunion of Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik, attention is directed to "Doctor Slump" as it is helmed together by trust-worthy showrunners.
It's directed by Oh Hyun Jong, the creator of the mega hit show "Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo" and Baek Sun Woo, the screenwriter of "What's Wrong With Secretary Kim?," another top-notch series.
With their credibility, they raised the tension for "Doctor Slump" after praising Park Shin Hye and Park Hyung Sik, saying, "The two have a long history of experience. They simply gave justice to the work."
In addition, Oh Hyun Jong guaranteed that the drama will deliver sympathy and comfort to viewers who also fell into their own slumps and burnout phases in 2023.
