'The Matchmakers' Episode 16: Shim Jung Woo & Jung Soon Deok Fall Into A Trap

In "The Matchmakers" episode 16, Jo Ye Jin and Yoon Bu Gyeom dramatically entered the bridal room where Shim Jung Woo and Jung Soon Deok were. The marriage was formalized and Mrs. Park, who was suspicious of slapping Soon Deok, discovered that Jo Ye Jin killed her husband and younger brother because of Soon Deok.

Jo Ye Jin became more enraged and put Jung Soon Deok and Shim Jung Woo into a trap. After Mrs. Park put Jung Woo and Soon Deok in the same room, she falsely accused Shim Jung Woo of raping her, putting the man in crisis.

However, Jung Woo used the opportunity to confess his true feelings for Soon Deok. The two rekindle their love, but the soldiers arrive and take Shim Jung Woo away.

Jung Soon Deok Commits Suicide

The King (Jo Han Chul) came to meet Jung Woo. He asked him if he had fallen into a trap, but Jung Woo left a plea to prevent Jung Seon Deok from harming him and took the poison. At that time when he was forced to commit suicide, Jung Soon Deok raised a silver sword to her chest.

Following Lady Park's wish, King Munjong raised the ominous spirit to its peak by sending a message to the king asking him to bestow a monument to a virtuous woman.
