Lee Se Young Gets Candid About Her Drama Experiences: ‘The more I film kissing scenes…’

Lee Se Young Recalls Being Nervous on Her First On-Screen Kiss Scene
In the December 28 episode of "DEX's Fridge Interview" on YouTube, Lee Se Young appeared as a guest. There, the actress shared more behind-the-scenes stories of her life in and out of the industry.
As their conversation jumped from one topic to another, the program's host Dex curiously asked the celebrity whether she has ever filmed kissing scenes.
Lee Se Young immediately replied:
"Of course I have! I did it a lot of times. My first one was in 'Dream of the Emperor' in 2012. I remember being super nervous."

Dex also asked what kind of preparation "The Red Sleeve" star does before filming kiss scenes, which she then explained that before filming the intimate scenes, the actress would grab something to eat and share it with her co-star.
"As long as I give my kissing scene partner some of the food that I eat, then it's all good. We have both eaten the same food, so it's okay to resume kissing like that."

Lee Se Young added that she filmed kissing scenes for five hours before. And at times like that, she would take some mints in between takes.

Looking completely astounded, Dex responded:
"Five hours? You don't pretend to kiss for all that time, right?"
The actress then replied:
"Yes. Definitely. We have to kiss for real. There's nothing that cameras these days will miss. They are very advanced now; they can capture every detail."
The "Single's Inferno" star shared that he's worried that if he films too many kissing scenes, he'll eventually stop getting good feelings when he kisses.
Hearing his remark surprised Lee Se Young and said:
"What? No. Kissing is an act that gives you nice feelings. So, the more I film kissing scenes, the better it is!"
What's Next for Lee Se Young
Meanwhile, Lee Se Young currently stars in MBC's historical-romance series "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract." She plays the role of Park Yeon Woo, a Confucian lady from Joseon who loses her husband on her wedding and ends up traveling to South Korea in 2023. She gets entangled in a contract marriage with Kang Tae Ha (Bae In Hyuk), and her life starts to change.
In addition, Lee Se Young is confirmed to host the upcoming 2023 MBC Drama Awards, alongside Jun Hyun Moo and Dex.
The annual ceremony is expected to happen this December 29.
