Other than this, the model-turned-actor shared an interesting story about his special gift to his sibling on her wedding day.

In a report cited by SBS Star, the actor appeared as a guest on KBS' television show "Problem Child in House," where he shared a thing or two about his investment techniques.

Song Jae Rim Reveals Saving Techniques

With Song Jae Rim's net worth of $5 million, according to a news portal, he managed to focus on saving and spending his money wisely after he made his debut in 2010.

Throughout his decades-long career as an actor, he not only managed to make a name for himself but also invested in properties.

Interestingly, the secret to this is keeping track of his expenses.

As mentioned by the outlet, Song Jae Rim has been doing this for 17 years.

"After hanging out with people in my neighborhood, I write down my expenses, including details like who I met and what we ate. Reading it reminds me of the memories I had in this neighborhood."

In addition to listing his expenses, Song Jae Rim also ensures that everything inside his house is useful and is not a fan of wasting any money or buying unnecessary stuff.

The same goes for his wardrobe after the actor confessed that he "doesn't splurge on pricey clothing."

He explained that most of his clothes cost less than 8 USD. He also doesn't mind if he is "buying cheap clothing and would rather throw it out soon than invest in expensive ones and wear them for a long time."

However, it is not always a rainbow and butterfly for Song Jae Rim because he also tried doing stock markets as his investment but experienced a decline in value.

Song Jae Rim Helped His Sister Cover Her Wedding Expenses

During the interview, Song Jae Rim also spoke about his special present to his sister on her wedding day.

The actor revealed that he covered a partial portion of the expenses, which was about 40 million won (31,000 USD).

The reason for this is that he didn't want his younger sister to accept money from their parents.

"However, she accepted money from them without telling me. I gave her my savings instead of our parents because our family isn't so wealthy," he added.

What's Next for Song Jae Rim?

After his appearance in the youth romance drama "All That We Loved" in 2023, Song Jae Rim is set to return to the small screen with a new series.

Joining the cast of "Queen Woo," he plays the supporting character, Go Pae Eui, the dethroned prince.

Airing in 2024, the historical K-drama stars Jeon Jong Seo, Kim Moo Yeol, Ji Chang Wook, and more, helmed by "Oh! My Gran" director Jung Se Kyo.
