Lee Junho Bags 5 Titles at 2023 APAN Star Awards
For its year-end celebration, the APAN Star Awards was held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza in Seoul on December 30. Attended by a bunch of celebrities who were recognized for their talent and skills.
Among the stars who stood out that night was K-drama leading man, Lee Junho. In 2023, he made a return in the romantic series "King the Land" where he portrayed the role of Gu Won, a chaebol heir who can't take fake smiles.
APAN Star Awards is a drama awards ceremony that integrates content from all channels, including domestic terrestrial broadcasting, general programming, cable, OTT, and web dramas.
It was also recognized by organizations related to pop-culture arts. It has been said that actors and actresses who performed the best in all judging criteria, including acting ability, popularity, name recognition, likeability, and viewership ratings, were nominated in respective categories.
Among the actors who were recognized was Lee Junho, who won the grand prize. Apart from that, the actor bagged a total of five trophies including the Idol Champ Global Star Award, Popularity Award, Best Character Award, and Best Couple Award.
'King the Land' Actor Thanked His Global Fans
During his speech, the idol-actor said, "It was a work I chose with the hope that viewers would be happy, and I am grateful to the viewers around the world who have sent a lot of love and support throughout the year."

Lee Junho won various awards in the other year-end award shows, showcasing his influence and big impact as a public figure, not just in Korea but also globally.
Lee Junho Rumored to Headline Netflix's 'Cashero'
Following the conclusion of his rom-com series "King the Land" alongside YoonA, Lee Junho is being courted to headline the new hero drama "Cashero."
In August, the actor created a buzz after media outlets revealed that the heartthrob was in talks to lead the mentioned series. His agency, JYP Entertainment confirmed the news and said that it is one of the projects that Lee Junho was considering working on.
"Cashero" is a webtoon-based drama of the same name that foretells the stories of ordinary superheroes who protect the daily lives of ordinary people.
In addition, Lee Junho is rumored to portray Kang Sang Woong, a new superhero known as Cashero whose physical ability becomes stronger the more cash he has.
If he accepts the project, it will be his next Netflix comeback and first-ever superhero-themed drama.
