The "Reply 1988" star was among the celebrities who garnered attention after they were spotted reacting to the singer-songwriter and CEO's number during the annual ceremony.
Interestingly, the 37-year-old actor set the record straight after the camera showed his awkward reaction to the performance.

In an interview, Ryu Jun Yeol, who was promoting the release of his movie "Alienoid 2," was asked about his odd expression at the 2023 Blue Dragon Film Awards.
According to the "Lost" star, there was a "misunderstanding" with how he reacted, and he said that it "was an admiring expression."
The actor further explained what prompted him to react that way and mentioned JYP's overall look on stage.
"I thought, senior J.Y. Park looked impressive in the white dress. I was amazed," he said, noting that some people couldn't pull off such a bold look like the CEO.

However, netizens poked fun at Ryu Jun Yeol's reaction at the 2023 Blue Dragon Film Awards. Due to this, a lot of memes showing his odd response circulated on social media.
According to him, he saw this as a "versatile meme" and even tried using it in holiday greetings.
"It works for everything," he added.
As for his viral memes, Ryu Jun Yeol responded positively and was so "happy" that it somehow brought joy to the public.
"I think I gave you good material since reporters seem to be enjoying it this much. Honestly, I received more messages after that day than on my birthday."
Held on November 24, celebrities and industry players gathered for the 44th Blue Dragon Film Awards.
Top-notch stars, rookie celebrities, and more were witnessed as the event honored the achievements of South Korean actors in films and series.
"Smugglers" and "Concrete Utopia" garnered the most awards, including Best Film, Best New Actress, and Best Supporting Actor for "Smugglers," as well as Best Director, Best Actor, and more for "Concrete Utopia."
As for Ryu Jun Yeol, he was nominated for Best Actor for his performance in "The Night Owl" but lost to Lee Byung Hun of "Concrete Utopia."
What's Next for Ryu Jun Yeol This 2024?
As mentioned, Ryu Jun Yeol reprises his role in "Alienoid 2" as Mu Reuk. He is joined by fellow OG co-stars Kim Tae Ri and Kim Woo Bin.
The second part of the action-adventure movie is scheduled to hit the big screen on January 10.
Meanwhile, Ryu Jun Yeol is expected to make a comeback in K-drama through the upcoming series "The 8 Show."
