'The Bequeathed' Releases Eerie Teaser of Kim Hyun Joo & More
On January 4, the first-ever teasers for Netflix's brand new thriller series "The Bequeathed" were finally released.
Starring Kim Hyun Joo, Ryu Kyung Soo, Park Hee Soon and Park Byung Eun, the series follows the story of a woman who experiences occult incidents after inheriting their family's gravesite.
In the series, Kim Hyun Joo plays Yoon Seo Ha, a woman who gets involved with auspicious occurrences after she inherits a gravesite from her late uncle.
Ryu Kyung Soo plays Kim Young Ho, Yoon Seo Ha's step-brother. Meanwhile, Park Hee Soon transforms into detective Choi Sung Joon who investigates the incidents surrounding the Yoon family.
Lastly, Park Byung Eun portrays Park Sang Min, Choi Sung Joon's boss and senior. He's also the latter's biggest mortal enemy which raises curiosity about their relationship.
Prior to its release, "The Bequeathed" unveiled its teasers, announcing the very first mystery thriller series in 2024. The poster highlights the four character's connection to each other.
Meanwhile, the trailer depicts how Yoon Seo Ha becomes the sole heir to her estranged uncle's inheritance, following his sudden demise. Since then, she has faced ominous and dangerous events.
A construction company even offers to take care of her after she finds a body with a gunshot wound. Yoon Seo Ha's curiosity whether these are all connected to her family's gravesite grows to a new height.

Here's What To Expect From 'The Bequeathed'
Besides the meeting of veteran actors Kim Hyun Joo, Ryu Kyung Soo, Park Hee Soon and Park Byung Eun, "The Bequeathed" also attracts attention for its star-studded crew.
The new Netflix series is directed by Yeon Sang Ho whom the quarter worked before, and created the mega hit Korean releases "Train To Busan," "Peninsula," "Hellbound," "Seoul Station," "Jung_E" and more.
He guarantees a story that will "keep viewers on their toes" and "deliver a drama that is so eerie it will make viewers uneasy with their own emotions."
In addition, Kim Hyun Joo and Park Hee Soon described the work as "a drama that uses the fun of reasoning and a thriller with mixed emotions."
On the other hand, Park Byung Eun and Ryu Kyung Soo picked the word "suspenseful" to introduce the work, which is the first mystery thriller of the year 2024.
