Standing tall at six-foot-two, Gwan Hee is already a recognized figure as a shooting guard for the Changwon LG Sakers.

However, his journey to prominence had its roots with the Seoul Samsung Thunders, where he first stepped onto the PBA court.

In the 2016 PBA Governor's Cup, Gwan Hee joined the Phoenix Fuel Masters, answering the league's call for more Asian imports to "add more spice to the competition."

An Impressive Run

The Phoenix Fuel Masters may have faced defeat against the TNT KaTropa, but Gwan Hee's individual performance stood out.

Scoring 24 points on 9-10 shooting, he left an indelible mark on the Philippine league.

Gwan Hee openly credited his time in the PBA for bolstering his confidence and refining his skills.

"Definitely, the time I spent in the Philippines helped me become a better player," Gwan Hee remarked, underscoring the transformative impact of his PBA stint on his career trajectory.
