Joo Hyun Young announces plans amid the upcoming return of "SNL Korea."

The 28-year-old actress is one of the main cast members of a sketch comedy and variety show based on the long-running American TV show of the same name.

After several seasons of being the regular host, Joo Hyun Young announces plans on leaving the show.

According to a report, the 28-year-old beauty decides not to join the upcoming season and plans to focus on her acting journey.

"It is true that I am the most excited and happiest at that time. However, as I encountered other genres of work, it was unfamiliar and difficult, but as I accumulated experiences in places other than 'SNL,' I felt a different kind of growth."

However, she considers the variety show an environment where she "can try various acting" and be able to fully express herself.

As for the speculation regarding his departure on "SNL Korea," a rumor sparked that the alleged conflicts between the production company and production team are influencing her decision.

Joo Hyun Young first joined the variety show in September 2021 and was one of the first cast members to join the reboot season.

Since then, she has become an active member of "SNL Korea," captivating viewers with her entertaining skits and unique character portrayals.

Apart from the variety show, Joo Hyun Young also stars in several notable K-dramas. This includes her breakthrough in "Extraordinary Attorney Woo," where she takes on the role of Woo Young Woo's best friend, Dong Geurami.

In the same year, she headlined the cast of "Behind Every Star" as Lee Lee Seo Jin's on-screen daughter, So Hyun Joo.

In 2023, Joo Hyun Young will continue her back-to-back on-screen appearance. From being a lead star to a notable cameo.

Starting the year with a special appearance in "The Kidnapping Day" and "Dr. Romantic" season 3 was then followed by a lead role in "The Story of Park's Marriage Contract."

What's Next for Joo Hyun Young?

Although officials have yet to confirm the cast of "Extraordinary Attorney Woo" season 2, it is most likely that Joo Hyun Young will be one of the returning cast members.

As for the big screen, she is set for her movie debut as she joins the film "2 O'Clock Date."

Filmed in 2022, she will act alongside lead stars Im Yoon Ah and Ahn Bo Hyun.

Lastly, she will appear in the soon-to-be-released TV original variety show "Crime Scene Returns."
