In a post, MBC revealed that they are looking into releasing Lee Je Hoon's drama in April 2024, which will be the newest Friday and Saturday drama series. However, as for the exact date, officials are yet to confirm it.

Based on the long-running series, "Chief Detective 1958" is considered a retro-crime investigation drama with a hint of romance and joy.

Moreover, the 2024 series serves as a prequel to the classic Korean series "Chief Inspector."

As mentioned, Lee Je Hoon plays as chief inspector Park Young Han, who was originally portrayed by Choi Bool Am.

In the K-drama, he is depicted as a passionate detective known for his high arrest rate in Gyeonggi province. With a bigger opportunity, he goes to Seoul but faces tough challenges since the late 1950s were the start of South Korea's darkest time.
