Lee Jong Won is one of the faces that is making a buzz online after he gracefully played a lead role in saeguk "Knight Flower" alongside veteran actress Lee Honey. 

In a media interview, the rising star has nothing but praise for his first foray into leading a historical series, especially his collaboration with co-star Lee Honey. 

According to him, "It was a significant task to headline the drama along with Lee Honey. Even after being cast, I felt considerable pressure and responsibility. Whenever it became overwhelming, she was incredibly supportive, approaching me like a friend. She was someone I could rely on."

When it comes to his role, Lee Jong Won said, "Park Su Ho softens around the edges when he meets Jo Ye Hwa. He is a straightforward young man, but he can't always act directly due to societal issues."

He went on, "It created moments where Park Su Ho had to watch from afar, filled with yearning. I wanted to show that tingling sensation of being unable to express his emotions."

Known as one of the notable actresses in the industry, it was only natural for the young actor that his co-star Lee Honey became the most influential figure for him while filming the series.

Lee Jong Won mentioned that the former beauty queen deeply understood the weight and responsibility a leading role carries. There were times when Lee Honey was not feeling well, but she would carry on as if nothing was wrong, showing what it truly means to be a lead. 

The heartthrob admitted that watching the actress gave him a lot of learnings and dedication in headlining a drama.

The "Golden Spoon" star shared that one word from Lee Honey could build a bond, establishing a ripple effect that felt like the butterfly effect in action. 

When asked about the age gap between them and whether it was a concern, Lee Jong Won shared his honest thoughts, "I was not worried at all. Honestly, watching the series made me think the age difference added a unique chemistry to our characters."

He further explained, "Instead of the rom-com style where the leads fall in love and hold hands, the romance in 'Knight Flower' was filled with longing, desperation, and poignancy. There was a connection born out of the age gap, and that came evidently."
