Shin Ye Eun Rumored to Lead ‘Murky Water’ With Rowoon

Shin Ye Eun Positively Considering Starring in Disney Plus' 'Murky Water'
On February 20, a media outlet announced that Shin Ye Eun is being courted to headline the upcoming K-drama "Murky Water," also known as "Takryu." Her agency NPIO Entertainment confirmed the news and the actress is currently positively reviewing the offer.
"Murky Water" is a historical series that follows the story of a man who begins as a rogue at Han River's Mapo Port, the center of logistics and economy in the Joseon Dynasty, and becomes a legend of Joseon solely with his body.
What We Know So Far About Shin Ye Eun & Rowoon's Potential Collaboration in 'Murky Water'
It will be the second historical series to be written by Cheon Sung Il, the big brain behind the successful drama "The Slave Hunters." Teaming up with him is "Land of Happiness" director Choo Chang Min.

Apart from Shin Ye Eun, K-heartthrob Rowoon is also offered to lead the series. In 2023, the "Destined With You" star's agency stated that the actor was in talks to portray the male protagonist in the drama. Rising actor Park Seo Ham was also reported to be in discussions for a role in "Murky Water."
Once the artists confirm their participation in the project, the production will gear up and begin filming to release the drama on Disney Plus.
Expectations are high as to whether the viewers will be able to see Shin Ye Eun's acting chemistry with lead actor Rowoon.
Shin Ye Eun Booked to Work With Kim Tae Ri in 'Jeong Nyeon'
Aside from "Murky Water" Shin Ye Eun is also booked with another exciting series "Jeong Nyeon" where she is expected to share the frame with three of the brilliant actresses in the industry namely Ra Mi Ran, Moon So Ri, and Kim Tae Ri.
"Jeong Nyeon" is scheduled to meet the viewers in the second half of 2024.
The drama is set in the backdrop of the 1950s and features the story of Yoon Jeong Nyeon, a young lady from Mokpo who has no money and educational background but is born with a beautiful singing voice. This historical series follows the happenings that happened when Jeong Nyeon joined a women's traditional theater company to fulfill her dreams of becoming rich.
