Na In Woo Reveals Why He Refused to Read ‘Marry My Husband’ Webtoon

Creating a huge craze in the first quarter of the year, the tvN K-drama received tons of praise from viewers, lauding its unique plot and, at the same time, the amazing cast lineup.
From Park Min Young to Lee Yi Kyung to Na In Woo and Song Ha Yoon, to supporting actors Gong Min Jung, BoA, Choi Gyu Ri, and more, it was no surprise that the revenge K-series is one of the most successful K-dramas in 2024 so far.
Meanwhile, during Na In Woo's shoot with Elle Korea, the actor spoke about his feelings towards his character, Yoo Ji Hyuk.
According to the 29-year-old star, he and his character have one thing in common.
"Once we're into something, we see it through to the end. I've never given up, no matter how hard or hopeless things seemed."
In "Marry My Husband," the story depicts Yoo Ji Hyuk as the protector of Kang Ji Won (Park Min Young). Since he and Ji Won are both living in their second lives, he wants to ensure that fate will be in her favor now.
On the other hand, Na In Woo also confessed that unlike other celebrities who read the original works of the adaptation, the actor said he preferred not to.
"Some actors may express themselves better if they see the original work, but that's the case for me. So I approach each role as if it's a brand new character."

"Marry My Husband" is not his first K-drama based on a webtoon or from a novel.
In 2022, Na In Woo headlined "Jinxed at First," the K-drama adaptation of the webtoon "The Jinx's Lover," where he starred with Seo Hyun.
From being the future CEO of a top-notch conglomerate in "Marry My Husband," viewers witnessed how he perfectly portrayed the role of a struggling entrepreneur named Gong Soo Gwang in "Jinxed at First."

Having a quintessential boy-next-door vibe, who would have thought that Na In Woo's music choice is metal rock?
The actor revealed to Elle Korea that one of his favorite songs is Slipknot's "Duality."
"I'm planning to upload a cover video on Instagram by mid-February."
Other than music, Na In Woo loves to watch anything with animation.
"I love animations like 'Finding Nemo,' 'Monsters, Inc.,' and 'Toy Story'."
What's Next for Na In Woo?
After "Marry My Husband," Na In Woo is set to fulfill his military service, but his agency revealed that they are seeking postponement of his enlistment.
Per different local outlets, they have requested the Military Manpower Administration delay the actor's enlistment for him to join the "Marry My Husband" cast for an all-expense-paid vacation in Vietnam as their reward for the success of the K-drama.
