From continuing a perfect streak as Most Buzzworthy Drama to showcasing impressive success in viewership rating, the tvN series lands another record-breaking victory on OTT platforms.
'Marry My Husband' Tops TVN, TVING, and Amazon Prime Video Viewership Chart
In a report, "Marry My Husband" garnered a triple blockbuster success after topping the viewership chart on TVN, TVING, and Amazon Prime Video.
With a broadcast schedule of Monday and Tuesday airings, the weekday drama had the
highest average viewership in Amazon Prime Video.
Following this, the revenge drama lands worldwide recognition as the first Korean drama to top the global OTT rankings.
Besides viewership, "Marry My Husband" reached 1.05 billion views in TVN's official SNS and SMR, marking a new record for a single drama IP.
Proving that the TVN series garnered a large number of domestic viewers flocking to the various OTT platforms, another factor in the K-drama's high performance success are the cast and production crew.
This includes the four main actors, Park Min Young, Na In Woo, Lee Yi Kyung, and Song Ha Yoon, who perfectly portrayed each character, as well as showcasing undeniable on-screen chemistry.
As a result, the "Marry My Husband" cast was rewarded with an all-expenses-paid vacation.
'Marry My Husband' Cast Goes to Vietnam for Reward Vacation
Rewarding the whole team with a much-deserved break, a representative from TVN confirmed to outlets that the "Marry My Husband" cast and crew will spend five-day vacation in Vietnam.
Starting on March 10, the team will get to experience the tropical side of Asia as they strengthen harmony between the production crew and cast members, who worked hard to create an iconic K-drama.
Lead actress Park Min Young has confirmed her attendance, while co-stars Lee Yi Kyung, Song Ha Yoon, and Choi Gyu Ri are looking into their schedules.
Meanwhile, Na In Woo reportedly sought a request from the Military Manpower Administration to delay his enlistment in order to join his fellow co-stars in Vietnam.
As for BoA and Lee Gi Kwang, the duo will skip the upcoming trip due to her pre-scheduled activities.
Will There Be 'Marry My Husband' Season 2?
Based on the hit webtoon of the same name, "Marry My Husband" depicts the story of a revenge-driven Kang Ji Won, played by Park Min Young, who experienced betrayal from her husband, Park Min Hwan (Lee Yi Kyung), and longtime friend, Jung Soo Min (Song Ha Yoon).
Following her unfortunate death, Kang Ji Won was given a second shot at life to change her fate and take revenge against those who wronged her.
At this point in her life, Ji Won teamed up with Yoo Ji Hyuk (Na In Woo), who had a similar fate as hers.
After almost two months since its premiere, "Marry My Husband" delighted fans with an unexpected story.
As the drama bids goodbye to viewers, TVN is yet to confirm whether the series will be renewed for another season.
