Gong Min Jung Says Park Min Young's Preparation in ‘Marry My Husband’ ‘Was Great Effort’
"Marry My Husband" may have ended successfully, but actress Gong Min Jung was all praise for co-star Park Min Young.
Landing as one of the most talked-about K-dramas in the first quarter of 2024, the tvN series opened the year with an entertaining story featuring the revenge of Kang Ji Won, played by the Hallyu star.
As the series depicts her struggle, from being cheated on by her husband, Park Min Hwan (Lee Yi Kyung) with her best friend, Jung Soo Min (Song Ha Yoon), Kang Ji Won also has to deal with her terminal illness.
Interestingly, Kang Ji Won met new friends at work who understand her struggles, one of whom is Yang Joo Ran, played by Gong Min Jung.

During her interview with a local media outlet, the actress talked about her character's deal breaking in the middle of the series.
When Kang Ji Won woke up one day and found out that she was living her second life, her fate was transferred to the people around her.
The cheating incident was experienced by Jung Soo Min, while living with a terminal illness went to Yang Joo Ran.
According to Gong Min Jung, she was unaware at first that she'd get Ji Won's fate.

The actress tells the outlet that she only heard it during a meeting with the director that Kang Ji Won's devastating fate will be transferred to Yang Joo Ran.
Moreover, since the filming went back to the past and present, Gong Min Jung shared that she had difficulty "making external changes to suit the cancer patient setting."
In the second half of "Marry My Husband," the story focuses on Yang Joo Ran's discovery of her stomach cancer.
At the same time, she also found out that her husband was cheating on her.
Besides lead stars Park Min Young, Lee Yi Kyung, Song Ha Yoon, and Na In Woo, supporting cast members Gong Min Jung and Choi Gyu Ri, who took on the role of Yoo Hee Yeon, received high praise from viewers.
Speaking of praise, Gong Min Jung lauded co-star Park Min Young for her extreme dedication to playing the role of Kang Ji Won.

Gong Min Jung showed the actress good words as she praised her co-star for her amazing portrayal of the character, adding that she was able to transform physically to fit the webtoon role.
One of the things that she mentioned was Park Min Young's weight loss, which was also noticed by fans.
"Even if I were in the same situation as actor Min Young, I don't think I would have been able to lose weight," she said, adding, "I'm busy gaining weight."
In addition, Gong Min Jung commended Park Min Young's dedication to perfectly portraying the role.
"It really was a great effort."
