'Tyrant' Drops First Stills Introducing Cha Seung Won, Kim Seon Ho & Kim Kang Woo's Characters

The long wait is finally coming to an end as Disney Plus confirmed that they will release the upcoming series "Tyrant." On March 6, the production dropped the first stills of the drama showing a glimpse of its cast members.

Originally, "Tyrant" was planned to be produced as a film, starring Cha Seung Woo, Kim Seon Ho, and Kim Kang Woo. However, it was changed to drama and will have four episodes to be released in the second half of 2024.

The story begins when the last sample of a dangerous program goes missing during delivery, sparking a high-stakes chase. Individuals with complicated motives converge, each looking to control and eliminate the program.

Kim Seon Ho Debuts as Undercover in His New Role for 'Tyrant'

"Tyrant" marks Kim Seon Ho's screen comeback following "The Childe" and "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha." He will transform into a state agency employee named Choi Jang, who secretly runs the program. The actor exudes mysterious charm in the newly unveiled character still.

Joining him is veteran actor Cha Seung Won, a former agent tasked with dismantling the program's network. Kim Kang Woo takes the role of Paul a foreign intelligence agent who is determined to destroy the sample.

Jo Yoon Soo will also be part of the cast and revealed to portray the character of Ja Kyung, a technician hired to retrieve the important program.

"Tyrant" is helmed by Director Park Hoon Jung, the man behind "New World" and "The Witch."

What's Next for Kim Seon Ho

Aside from his upcoming drama, Kim Seon Ho is also preparing for another fun fan meeting "Color + Full" in Asia. He is also gearing up for his return to the entertainment program and has already spotted filming in Thailand for his appearance in "Eating Brothers Season 2," along with Moon Se Yoon and Kim Junhyun.

This will be his first variety show appearance after almost three years of hiatus in variety programs.

Lastly, he is preparing for another romance drama "Can This Love Be Translated?" to be penned by the famous Hong Sisters. Kim Seon Ho is expected to work with rising actress Go Yoon Jung. It has been said that the production will start filming in June until first half of 2025.
