Song Ha Yoon ‘Avoided’ Park Min Young on the Set of ‘Marry My Husband? — Here’s Why

Song Ha Yoon dishes on a surprising behind-the-scenes story during the production of the hit K-drama "Marry My Husband."

Viewers were drawn to the intriguing and unexpected story of Kang Ji Won (Park Min Young) and the people whom she considered her family. 

Among them is her longtime best friend, Jung Soo Min, played by Song Ha Yoon. 

At the height of the TVN series, Song Ha Yoon received massive attention from viewers, lauding her performance as the show's villain. 

Although the revenge drama has concluded its first season, the 37-year-old actress continues to delight fans with her guest appearances and interviews. 

Here's Why Song Ha Yoon Purposely Avoided Park Min Young

In a preview of JTBC's "Knowing Brothers," where Song Ha Yoon and Lee Gi Kwang appeared as guests, the actress dropped a surprising revelation regarding the filming of "Marry My Husband."

In a report, the actress purposely isolated herself from her friends and also took a social media hiatus to get on with her character.

According to Song Ha Yoon, she avoided Park Min Young and didn't even exchange "Hi" and "hello" on the set to maintain the persona of Jung Soo Min.

"However, when I returned to Song Ha Yoon, I conveyed my feelings to Park Min Young via text messages," she said, assuring that there's no beef between her and her co-star. 

On the other hand, Lee Gi Kwang spilled funny tea about the actress and revealed that Song Ha Yoon enjoyed wearing cropped tops while on set in the middle of the winter season. 

However, the actress has a reasonable explanation for this. 

"It was to immerse myself in the role of Jung Soo Min in the series," she said, which made Lee Gi Kwang admire his co-star and praise her for being a "real actor."

Song Ha Yoon Expresses Her Affection Towards Her 'Marry My Husband' Character

As the interview continues, Song Ha Yoon talks about her character, Jung Soo Min. 

The actress admitted that it was the character that had her "in a chokehold for a year."

"Once we started filming, it was as if I had blinders on, and it didn't even hurt when I got slapped." 

In the drama, there are a series of intense confrontations between Jung Soo Min and Kang Ji Won. 

Since Soo Min was Ji Won's husband's mistress, she used her second life to get back at them. 

According to Song Ha Yoon, her face got swollen because of her allergic reaction to the rage and intense emotion of her character. 

What's Next for Song Ha Yoon? 

After "Marry My Husband," Song Ha Yoon has two upcoming K-dramas lineups for her. 

She is in talks to headline the webtoon-based romance drama "Oh Man Sang and Prejudice" with Ji Hyun Woo. 

In addition to her new dramas, she will also star in the rom-com "History of Losers," along with Cho Byeong Kyu and Ryeoun.
