The actor took a trip down his memory lane as he talked about his life before his acting debut. During his interview with W Korea, Lee Jae Wook shared an interesting story about his past and plans for the future.

Lee Jae Wook Reveals How Working Various Part-Time Jobs Helped Him as Actor

Lee Jae Wook is among the stars who experienced working odd jobs before fame.

According to the actor, he experienced financial issues and had to work different part-time jobs when he was in middle school. At the time, he worked as a server at a fast-food restaurant and also at car washes.

"Well, everyone has different ways of spending their time. It may also be because I did not live in an affluent environment," he said, but despite this, Lee Jae Wook mentioned that he "had fun doing various things."

The reason he worked in different kinds of fields is that he gets bored when "work becomes a daily routine."

Little did he know that these experiences would help him to become a better actor.

"Due to such a tendency, being an actor is a great fit for me because I can continue living different lives."

Now, he is among the sought-after stars of his generation who have showcased versatility in acting.

Lee Jae Wook on His New Drama 'Hong Rang'

Speaking of acting, the 25-year-old is currently filming his upcoming K-drama, "Hong Rang."

Helmed by "Money Heist: Korea" director Kim Hong Seon, "Hong Rang" is a historical K-drama based on the novel "Tangeum: Swallowing Gold."

Lee Jae Wook revealed the difference between his upcoming K-drama and the hit series "Alchemy of Souls."

According to the actor, although both of the series had a touch of historical genre, "Hong Rang" will be his first project where he gets to work in an "authentic historical drama."

Interestingly, the actor, who shared that he is filming the series "four to five days a week," revealed an acting approach that he used in "Hong Rang."

"I'm trying hard to speak in a tone of voice as low as possible because I want [the words] to be delivered in a more powerful and clearer way."

Slated to air exclusively on Netflix, "Hong Rang" depicts the story of a son who belongs to a wealthy family of merchants and returns after disappearing. Amid this, his half-sister wants to know the truth behind it.

Taking on the titular role, Jo Bo Ah will join Lee Jae Wook as one of the lead stars. In addition, Jung Ga Ram, Uhm Ji Won, Kim Jae Wook, and Park Byung Eun will also portray the main characters.

Currently, Lee Jae Wook stars in "The Impossible Heir," along with Lee Jun Young and Hong Su Zu.
