Actor Ahn Jae-hyun made waves after showing off a newly muscular physique on the Sept. 5 episode of MBC's reality show 'I Live Alone.'

"When we had elevator construction a month and a half ago, I went up and down the stairs like crazy for a month. I also worked out consistently," Ahn explained in the episode, in which he stood confidently shirtless.

Ahn, who was once the face of the 'sosikjwa' (Korean slang for those with slender or delicate builds), revealed that he had added 10 kilograms in the last year through consistent exercise. His makeover was met with admiration from his fans and fellow co-stars.

Yet another surprise muscle reveal was from music producer and broadcaster Code Kunst, aka Cocoon.

Kokun posted a recent shirtless video of himself jogging on a treadmill through social media, and fans were quick to point out the well-sculpted abs and buff top half.

Speaking on Radio Star in February, the producer declared, "I went from the late 50s to 74 kilograms — my highest weight ever." Having been known for his formerly lean physique, the change surprised even long-time devotees.

Infinite member Sungjong, formerly known for his radical dieting—allegedly living off soy milk and three almonds a day — has also joined the ranks of celebrities that are focusing on health.

"I gained 15kg, so now I'm 65kg. I used to weigh almost 50kg," Sungjong disclosed in a video posted on the YouTube channel Jijichu last year, explaining that he now feels more energetic and confident.

The emergence of 'healthy bulk' idols represents an expanding trend in Korean pop culture, where formerly emaciated frames were revered. Presently, audiences are responding to new beauty standards based on health and strength.

Reactions have been overwhelmingly favorable online, with fans saying, "You look much better," "You look healthy," and "You're awesome."
