Kang Eun-bi, an actress, has announced that she is pregnant with her first child, only three months after her marriage to longtime boyfriend Byun Jun-pil.

On Sept. 15, Kang made the announcement on her personal social media account with a photo of her cradling a maternity badge as her husband holds an ultrasound picture.

"Having supported each other for so long, my husband and I have longed for a child since our marriage," Kang said.

"Being 40, born in 1986, certainly brought with it some concerns, so we resolved to take our time and prepare slowly."

She went on to say that she was thrilled at how suddenly the pregnancy occurred.

"Thankfully, in just three months, our precious baby angel was born," she explained. "Becoming a mother is amazing, overwhelming, and sometimes scary, but more than anything, I am so grateful to have been given this miraculous gift."

Kang Eun-bi also shared that the baby is scheduled to be born in May 2026 and that the pair has chosen the prenatal name "Sansami."

"IIt's a name that reflects our fervent prayers for him to grow up healthy," she explained. "Going forward, we will share videos and daily life with the Byunbi couple, showcasing our journey as expectant parents, and share moments with Sansami."

The star wed Byun Jun-pil in April after dating for 17 years. Byun, also a graduate of the Seoul Institute of the Arts, was once one of the most popular ulzzang and was initially rumored to be dating Kang back in 2008.

Kang Eun-bi first appeared on screen in 2005 in the film Dream High 2 and gained prominence through several dramas like Rainbow Romance, My Special Life, The Man in the Vineyard, and The Sons of Sol Pharmacy.

She also featured in movies like Wrestling and Eoudong: A Flower Without an Owner. Kang won Rookie of the Year at the MBC Broadcast Entertainment Awards in 2005 and was a common face on variety shows like X-Man.

Fans have filled her post with congratulatory comments, wishing the couple a healthy and happy pregnancy.
