IVE member Ahn Yu-jin will play a new challenging role in Netflix's new reality mystery series "Crime Scene Zero," launching September 23.

At a production conference on September 16 at the Ramada Seoul Sindorim Hotel, the cast and crew introduced fans to what's in store for the highly anticipated show.

The conference was also joined by director Hwang Seul-woo and actors Jang Jin, Park Ji-yoon, Jang Dong-min, Kim Ji-hoon, Ahn Yu-jin, and Yoon Hyun-joon. The actors took photos before undergoing a Q&A session with the media.

Being the youngest among the cast members, Ahn Yu-jin was both nervous and excited to play her part.

"Overcome your shyness and act," she said, foreshadowing her attitude for shooting. "It was a challenge, but I really enjoyed trying something different."

Popular for her idol work with the hit group Ive, Ahn opened up about adapting to a different genre.

"This kind of psychological role-playing is unfamiliar to me, but I think viewers will enjoy seeing a different side of me," she said.

Director Hwang Seul-woo also commented on Ahn's performance. Preceding his remarks, he said, "She surprised us with how quickly she adapted."

"Yu-jin may be the youngest, but she approached each scenario with sincerity and sharp intuition," Hwang said.

The older players on the show, such as Jang Dong-min and Park Ji-yoon, welcomed the new energy Ahn brought to the set.

"It was refreshing to see her reactions and growth throughout the filming," Park stated.

"Crime Scene Zero" is the newest title in the popular Crime Scene series and presents a new spin on the classic role-playing mystery genre.

Players are immersed in a simulated crime scene and tasked with employing deduction, acting, and reasoning to determine the real criminal among them.

The show will be available worldwide on Netflix starting September 23. Partisans of the franchise—and of Ahn Yu-jin—are already showing high hopes on social media.

With a combination of seasoned experience and young suave, "Crime Scene Zero" is sure to provide suspenseful tension and out-of-the-blue surprises.
