Koreaboo reported that, as a guest on the online variety show "Salon Drip" on October 28, KST, Kim reminisced about a hidden Daum café that only authenticated celebrities could access. The actress described how the site was formerly popular among stars to converse and interact beyond public glare.

Before delivering her statements, Kim smiled as she remembered interacting with G-Dragon when he was still a teenager. "We don't keep in touch now, but G-Dragon was still a high school student back then," she explained.

"There used to be a Daum café (online community) that only celebrities could join. You had to go through a verification process to get in, and once the moderator approved you, everyone there was a celebrity. So, we'd just have small chats among ourselves."

According to Nate News, the actress went on to mention that another member of the group was Se7en, who turned out to be a close friend at the time. Reminiscing fondly, she stated, "Despite being in his 40s now, he still looks like a baby to me."

When host Jang Do Yeon pressed for more details about the secretive community, Kim laughed and admitted that the online café didn't just foster friendships — it also led to several dating rumors. "Even within that café, people would date each other, and when they broke up, they'd cause a fuss and leave the group," she shared.

"Whenever we'd say, 'This person's going to make the news,' sure enough, they'd end up in the headlines."

The starlet's frank memories offered fans a glimpse into the social lives of celebrities before social media sites such as Instagram or Weverse became trendy. Some netizens were left in stitches and reminiscing after the show, where others referred to it as "a window into the secret side of celebrity life in the early 2000s.

Kim's "Salon Drip" episode is now viral, getting criticized for her wit, candor, and the shocking disclosure of the formerly secret celebrity-only chat room.
