Actor Yeo Jin Goo has been officially confirmed to join the prestigious KATUSA unit, which is a big milestone in his career and military service. The actor from Hotel Del Luna and Beyond Evil will start serving on December 15, 2025.

Joining DAY6's Young K, A.C.E's Byeongkwan, and producer Na Young Suk, Yeo Jin Goo will reportedly be the fourth Korean celebrity that will join the elite unit,as per Koreaboo. As previously reported, the KATUSA program is a highly competitive selection process requiring advanced English proficiency and physical fitness.
Born on August 13, 1997, Yeo Jin Goo will serve for about 18 months and is expected to be discharged in June 2027. Represented by no current management agency at this time, his representatives released an official statement announcing news of his enlistment.
They confirmed his acceptance in the statement and asked fans to respect his privacy during the enlistment period.
The representatives said, "Actor Yeo Jin Goo has been selected for the KATUSA (Korean Augmentation to the United States Army) unit and will serve for about a year and a half starting on December 15."
They also addressed details regarding the ceremony.
"Since the admission ceremony is a place with a large number of soldiers and their families, we will not disclose the specific location or time. Please refrain from visiting the location on the day of enlistment," it added.
According to the report by OSEN, Yeo Jin Goo's team also expressed gratitude toward people's continued love and support.
