Singer and actor Kim Min-jong addressed public confusion over his "container living" when he appeared as a special MC on SBS's popular variety show "My Little Old Boy."

Per TenAsia, he apologized to the show's staff and cast by saying in the Oct. 7 episode, "I feel sorry to 'My Little Old Boy' because I'm personally very close with Shin Dong-yup and Kim Hee-chul."

He explained his relationship with the program, "I have a special connection with 'My Little Old Boy'. I appeared as a guest in the early days of the show, and my container living became a hot topic."

Kim Min-jong previously shared footage of his life in a container house located in the mountains of Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi Province. After the broadcast, he said, "We won't charge you, just live healthily and work hard" - this echoed words of encouragement from locals at restaurants who misunderstood his living situation.

Speaking about his financial and public life, he explained, I have lived there for a while, and I still do. It's true, but older people seem to think I live there permanently." He emphasized that the container is "a second house" and expressed regret for the confusion, stating, "I misspoke, and it became an issue. Some people were confused. I feel sorry about that," per The Cosun Daily.

The episode also showed family members of cast members visiting the studio for the first time in six years. Kim Hee-chul joked, "My mom wants to escape 'My Little Old Boy'. She thinks I can't get married because of the show," adding, "I feel really sorry to Shin Dong-yup and Seo Jang-hoon, but please don't say 'Hee-chul has many women, so don't worry.' My mom calls me asking, 'Who are you seeing?'"

Lee Dong-gun also added in a humorous comment about his mother: My mom gave me some pocket money and told me to buy some clothes."

These include personal relationships Kim Min-jong has with the show and also misunderstandings that keep cropping up about his living arrangements, all explained in a way to help viewers without losing the program's humorous or heartfelt tone.
